I think it is ALOT more comfortable! I trimmed down about .5 to 1 inch with a Bread knife. Then went out and bought 5 dollars worth of vinyl and recovered the seat with a staple gun. Super easy, just time consuming.

As far as shaping the seat... take your time and take off little by little. I like my things perfect so i made sure that I smoothed the foam out after i cut it, so when the vinyl was put on, it didn't look all chopped up like i've seen others. BE AWARE when you are trimming the foam to make guide-lines on the side to follow, and NOT go past. ALSO be aware that the seat is at a different thickness at in different areas. It is most thick near the middle back, which is where I trimmed the most out allowing me to sit lower and further back on the seat. The the seat a tad bit more firm, it doesn't crunch my nuts and hurt me to ride anymore. I also raised the handlebars about an inch forward so I'm a little streched out, which is actually more comfortable to ride.

let me know if you have any other questions.

PS... the bread knife i used was a little flexible and i think that helped out.
